Our Teams

West Chester University Ultimate Program is the umbrella term for our men's ultimate club. It is home to two unique teams.

DUB is our highly competitive A-team. Their end goal win as much of the post-season as possible.

CO-OP is our developmental team. They focus on teaching the game and improving individual skills. Most new players start on this team.

What is ultimate?

Ultimate frisbee is a 7v7 team sport played on a field about the same size as soccer's. Players score points by passing the frisbee to a teammate in the opponent's endzone. Because you aren't allowed to move when you're holding the frisbee, creative throws, quick cuts, and athletic catches flourish.

How can I support my kid?

All these things add up in cost over the year. Our club is constantly fundraising to help bring those costs down for our players and make this sport accessible to anyone who wants to participate. You can help support your kid and others like him by participating in our fundraisers or donating directly when you can. Thanks for helping give your child an unforgettable college experience!

Tell me more

Ultimate is a ton of fun, but it's also a seriously intense sport! Your kid will be practicing 2-3 times a week, with practices that (depending on their team) include conditioning, agility training, and high intensity! They'll be competing in 8+ (multi-day) tournaments over the year, and that's not including our post-season sectionals & regionals! They'll be using cleats, uniforms, and plenty of frisbees.

New Name, Who Dis?

West Chester's college teams have recently undergone a major rebranding. This is part of a concerted effort to transform our previously successful "team" into a consistently competitive and well-recognized "program".

We are counting on you to help make this happen.

How can I help?

There are plenty of ways to stay involved with the program post-grad. One of the most directly impactful is through donations. We'll be hosting fundraisers/donor-drives throughout the year that you can participate in. As you probably remember, money is tight in college, and a little goes a long way. Help the program grow! Donate today!

What's in it for me?

There is no way our current teams could have gotten this far without the hard work and dedication of all the players, captains, and coaches who came before us. We plan to give back to the alumni who built this program.

Be on the lookout for an alumni newsletter, another alumni team at Steakfest, an alumni banquet/weekend, and the building of an alumni network for you to reach out to past teammates.

Come try out ultimate frisbee at one of our practices. We practice on Vonnie Gros and the practice football fields from 7-10 on Mondays and Thursdays. It's fun!
